The lodge was built in partnership with the Nkuringo community, the African Wildlife Foundation, and Wild Places, and sits at over 2,000 metres above sea level — making it the highest safari lodge in Uganda. From the ridge, guests look out across the Virunga volcanoes and the Bwindi forest canopy.

Accommodation at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
Guests stay in eight private forest cottages crafted from local volcanic stone and reusable materials sourced from surrounding communities.

Families and Children
Children under 15 are not permitted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority to trek mountain gorillas. The lodge offers a dedicated babysitter and supervised activities, so parents can join a gorilla trekking experience while children stay safely entertained at the lodge.
